Who doesn't love a Duty Free purchase
I bloomin' love the part of my holiday when I've checked in, dumped my baggage and can brpwse the array of beauty items in World Duty Free or Biza! I pretty much always spend my holiday bucks in the first few hours of being in the airport, with being beauty mad, and not being able to resist the many stands of items on offer, which call out to me in their sparkly glory. I know you know what i mean!
So when I headed to Leeds Bradford before my flight to Kos in Greece this June, I wasn't sure what I wanted, not needed as i have enough beauty items to open my own department store!
I headed to my one love, which is Benefit and saw their new bronzers in the Hoola family, and went for a warmer shade that the original Hoola, which is Caramel. It is usually £25.50, and this was £20.50 so a pretty big saving!
That was all I really wanted until I saw there cut MAC Cosmetics mini lippies for £8 near the checkout, so grabbed the shade in Mehr which by the sticker looks like a good pink hue. At the moment I haven't opened it, as I have a major coldsore breakout, and didn't need the lippy on my vacation, but will be rocking in a week or so, and will upload that to my instastories (@samspeaks__)
Then, the start attractions were seen on the aeroplane, with Jet2, who not only offer the discounted tax free prices, but an additional 20% voucher was given too!
I'd checked out the magazine and saw a Clarins travel set for £36, wcih with discount is would be £28, the Urban Decay Naked3, which is the pallet I don't have for £34 and that would be £26.50 and the Urban Decay iconic setting spray mini for £10, so it would be £8. I think was all a total steal for the products included!
Urban Decay has been a favourite brand of mine for years now, and I had always wanted the Naked3, but for some reason never got around to grabbing it, and had stuck with the Smokey pallet and the original Naked, which hit pan about 2 years agi and never replaced! The cellophane wrap is still on the pallet though, ready for a night out whenever that may be.
The Clarins set however, was ripped straight into, and the body lotion is my number one products from those guys, I have 3 of them stocked up from recents sets already. Plus in there was their Beauty Flash Balm which I had heard about, but didn't think i needed. However, let me tell you, it is amazing! Its classed a primer I think, which is for sure great as, and it gets my face in a glow like fresh look, evens my lines/ random colouring and just looks fab on its own.
There's then a handcream, which i will use straight up, the toner smells divine, then 2 others a facemask from the Hydra collection and an mini eye cream from that collection too. It was all in a see-through zip bag too, which will be perfect for handluggage for my next travels.
All in all i spent £66 on the plane and £28.50 in the airport, whcih for me let me be honest, was a huge reduction to what i usually spend in the airports.
Now though, I am stocked up and shopping my stash for a while, plus getting my posts up again more regular to see what i love, what you guys can find out about and use it all up before spending more!
Do you love the airport shopping before your travels?
