On Wednesday, I saw that Direct Line , (you know the insurance people) were in Leeds, and going around fixing any problems that people might have!
All you needed to do is tweet, using the hash-tag #MerryFixmas in the hope the Direct Line fairy godmother takes pity and tweets you back!
I tweeted them with the following:
"I have the worst breakout on m chin! Help me fix it for my Xmas party Sat #MerryFixmas"
Then around an hour later, they only replied! Direct Line tweeted:
"the #merryfixmas team understand the importance of a good base. Please can you DM your address and they'll see you soon?"
I was like, oi oi I bet it's a wind up, as I never heard back, after I sharpish sent them a DM with my address. I am always quick to snap up offers like this, of course.
Then the next day they sent a DM saying the team will be with me today! Interesting!
So, as 5pm rolled around, I was sure it was just a fun twitter thing...
At five past reception telephoned for me, to say the Direct Line team were here with a package for me!
When I greeted them, they were dressed in Santa hats, red jump-suits and has come in a red van with the hash-tag on it! Work were giddy with it all, of course. A bit of office excitement goes down a treat!
So then, they handed me the gorgeous package, and I opened it up, telling them it was like Christmas early!
Inside the Direct Line #MerryFixmas red box, wrapped in a bow was ;
Estee Lauder Double Wear
MAC pro wear concealer
Neutrogena face wash
Thorntons chocolate coins
Thorntons chocolate lolly
I was so happy/ surprised/ glad I'll be able to cover these awfully painful spots, that are sat on my chin, in time for Saturday!
Thank you so much to Direct Line, for the amazing #MerryFixmas twitter campaign on their twitter handle @DirectLine_UK ! :)
