No, not the red wedding, or my first period, but Valentines. Hearts, pink and fluff.
So I thought I would celebrate red lipsticks, one's that I do actually wear!
These are a varied collection of dark, and light colours or balms which actually suit me. As sadly, the red MAC ones or YSL or even my beloved Chanel look weird on me. Yes really. Everyone has their favourite popular red, but as my cheeks are rosy and my skin tone rather pink dipped, the red just does not match me.
Ah well, I have learned to love and embrace all those other colours out there, but I thought I would focus on the subtle colours of love instead, to show there is something out there for everyone.
Up first we have Ted Baker, from their Christmas Make Up Beautiful Girl collection. The is a pure red, and as it doesn't completely suit me, it is a good less pillar box red to try out for dressed up looks.
Next I have Clinique red which is a balm and adds a subtle hint of colour, rather than the full on effect.
Onto the next Clinique colour here and this is Black Cherry, a deep maroon colour which sits beautifully on dark, whilst adding a hydration on the lips.
My next pout favourite comes from No7, who seem to excel at the lip crayons! I use this none stop during the day and love the light red/ pink colour it gives.
Last but no means least is Benefit, of course I had to sneak in a Benefit lippy and what better than their most favourite red colour Benetint, in the shape of a balm.
This soft pop of colour hydrates, whilst giving a glow of red colour, which is not over powdering. My perfect red.
I hope you're all rocking your red colours today, even if it is indoors wrapped up like me, eating an M&S Dine In meal alone and looking forward to seeing Fifty Shades in the cinema sometime over this loved up weekend! :)
